This novel book brings a new dimension to the reading experience, by introducing areas to smell as well as see. At first glance it looked slightly gimmicky, but the story is well written and the book isn’t overrun with smells; instead, they are spaced out and subtlely included at various points in the story (with directions as to where to sniff). It’s based on a good theory, that smell is one of the oldest senses, yet is often overtaken by other senses. Some of the smells are pleasant, whereas the stinky point well and truly lives up to its name! The book also includes a set of smelly stickers too.
