Back in summer 2006 Baby Hampshire covered the launch of a new organic
baby food company based in Alresford, in the heart of the New Forest.

in all major supermarkets, but Plum Baby founder and mum of three,
Susie Willis, is keen to stress that they haven’t forgotten their
roots. “We’re still only a small business, and we’ll always retain the
ethics of a small business.”

Frustrated by the pointless and time consuming activity of putting
babies into outdoor clothing only to have to take them out of it again
very soon afterwards, mother of twins, Isobel Thompson teamed up with
friend Kate Frankland to develop the Morrck Baby Hoodie, with the aim
of making the whole routine of getting out and about with babies far
simpler, quicker and more pleasurable for parents and babies alike.

We’ve followed mummy-of-three Claire Bates through pregnancy, birth, teething, toileting and tantrums. It ain’t been pretty. Think her life is getting back on an even keel now her third’s almost a year? Er...Kinda. I’ve laddered my support pants.Seriously. The Spanx of Steel, designed
never to fail, to hold in all the post-babies bulge that’s squeezed unceremoniously into them, have been foiled by my mega muffin top.I
suppose I should be embarrassed - but I’m sort of relieved if I’m

Are you thinking of starting your little one in nursery or pre-school or do you feel they are just too young? It was while they were passing seconds around that Ziba mentioned
preschool. “Did I tell you?” Sami heard her ask Bitsy. “Susan’s starting Julia Jessup in the fall.” Bitsy
was helping herself to another grilled tomato. She paused and looked at
Ziba. “What’s Julia Jessup?” she asked. “It’s the preschool Sami went
to. The one where Maryam works now.” “She’s starting there THIS fall?”
Bitsy asked. Ziba nodded, beaming. “But she’s only two years old!” Bitsy said.“Two and a half,” Ziba reminded her. “Julia Jessup accepts them at two.” “Tha

Kids love animals and parents love happy kids. So it seemed a fair bet that a good zoo should make a great family day out. That, at least, was my thinking when I fixed on Marwell Wildlife (the new name for Marwell as a last holiday treat for Ben, my tearaway two year-old, before
packing away the sun cream for another year. With over 250 species of
animal spread across 140 acres of grassy parkland, Marwell Wildlife,
near Winchester, is widely regarded as a model of good zoo-keeping. But how would it look after my little one on a sunny
