Little dippers

Little Dippers
You have probably seen our Little Dippers on T.V. or in the national press, but did you know that we have been running classes for over 15 years and have seen in excess of 10,000 babies complete our unique courses. Our philosophy is a simple one, which focuses upon teaching very young babies water safety techniques, which could one day save their life!

Currently we have in excess of 1,500 babies swimming with us on our weekly classes and workshops with over 5,000 babies going through the program at home with the help of our Waterbabies film and Workbook.

Little Dippers was born in the early 90’s when our Director & Founder Lauren Heston worked on a commercial for British Gas.

Lauren, who’s history is in film and media, was shot in the Red Sea cradling a newborn in her arms whilst submerged.

This single event became the inspiration for the start of Little Dippers who now see over 1000 babies each week attend its courses.

Little Dippers have been working tirelessly over the last 15 years to raise the profile of baby swimming and its associated benefits.

It’s all too often that we hear of tragedies involving young children and water. The problem is that when accidents do occur children panic because they have never been in contact with water before.

As such Little Dippers have two main goals:

• To reduce the increasing amount of infant and child water related deaths in the UK and Worldwide by making water familiar.

• To introduce the concept of the benefits of an active lifestyle from an early age.
