Essential first aid courses for the whole family. St Johns Ambulance believes that everyone who needs it should receive first aid from those around them. No-one should suffer for the lack of trained first aiders.
Emergency Life Support Child & Infant – Course includes learning how to deal with accidents, treating an unconscious baby/child, resuscitation, choking, severe bleeding and communication/casualty care.
Basic First Aid – Course includes treatment of common injuries eg, bites and stings, bleeding (minor), choking, fainting, primary survey, sprains and strains and unconscious casualty.
Family First Aid – This course covers bone, muscle and joint injuries, chest pains, shock plus recognizing and treating meningitis, poisoning and seizures.
Early Years – This two day course covers emergency situations that may be faced by professionals looking after young children. This course is endorsed by the National Childminding Association and the Pre-School Learning Alliance.
